November 2, 2018 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Azul City Premier Futbol Club as a new member starting with the 2019 Spring Season.

Based in Fort Worth (Tex.), Azul City Premier Futbol Club will begin play in the new UPSL League One Central Conference North Division, and will host its home games at Gateway Park (4321 E. 1st Street, Fort Worth, TX 76117) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Central Conference Manager Matt Kahla said, "We're excited to get the UPSL League One started here in the Central Conference, and we're pleased to welcome Azul City Premier FC as its inaugural member. The Azul City Premier FC ownership is rock solid, and the Fort Worth market has already proven to be a soccer hotbed. It's a recipe for success and there's no doubt that the club will promote up the tiers here in Texas. We wish Azul City Premier FC the best as it prepares to kick off with the 2019 Spring Season."

Jorge Echeverria is co-Owner and Operations Manager for Azul City Premier Futbol Club. A native of Houston, Echeverria, 36, is Marine Corps veteran and currently is a Finance Analyst for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.

Azul City Premier Futbol Club Operations Manager Jorge Echeverria said, "There are a lot of players that don't get the opportunity to play in college or take that next step because they never got that look, or got that chance but now is the time. It's time, especially here in Fort Worth where there's so much talent. Inocentes FC is proving they can do it at the highest levels of the UPSL, and so we just want to give players the opportunity to advance through the UPSL's Promotion/Relegation Model starting in UPSL League One."

Frank Corpus, 35, is co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer for Azul City Premier FC. Also a Marine Corps veteran, Corpus, 35, currently is a business owner in Ft. Worth (Tex.).

Azul City Premier FC's second team, Azul City Premier FC 2, is playing its first season in the Fort Worth Adult Soccer Association.

The club will host a tryout on Nov. 3 at Gateway Park, and soon will announce its upcoming UPSL game schedule.
