January 30, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce OFC Barca as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Spring Season.

Based in East Orlando (Fla.), OFC Barca will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida Central Division, and will host its UPSL home games at Young Pine Community Park (5201 Young Pine Rd., Orlando, FL 32829) and UCF Soccer and Track Stadium (4000 Central Florida Blvd., Orlando, FL 32816) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference Florida Division Manager Christian Vallejos said, "We're excited to welcome OFC Barca to the Florida Central Division. Owner Kevin Salas is a veteran of the club, which has made its own history in the State of Florida and deserves a solid platform to showcase its excellent players. We wish OFC Barca success as it prepares for its first UPSL season."

OFC Barca won the Florida Amateur Cup in 2014 and was a USASA National Amateur Cup participant later that year. A consistent entrant at the Miami (Fla.) Copa Latina, the club last competed in the now-defunct Continental Soccer League (CSL).

Kevin Salas is Owner and General Manager of OFC Barca.

OFC Barca Owner and General Manager Kevin Salas said, "The old guard of OFC Barca has moved on, so now we're looking at the next group of players and we've gotten a core together, and now we want to represent OFC Barca again. We've seen teams transfer to the UPSL and they've told us that it's a good league. From what we've seen the UPSL is the most competitive league in Florida, and we're excited to get started."

Roberto Neill, 35, is Head Coach and Manager for OFC Barca. A Brazilian native, Neill played as a youth with Brazilian club Santos and later for AJAX Orlando Prospects (USL).

Pablo Gutierrez, a native of Uruguay, will serve as Assistant Coach and Trainer for OFC Barca.

J.P. Reyes, 35, has agreed to play for OFC Barca. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Reyes played at Orlando (Fla.)'s Boone High School before moving on to a professional playing career. He most recently played for Florida Tropics SC (USL).

The club will announce tryout dates and its upcoming UPSL game schedule.
