July 27, 2019 - Weatherford, Texas - Things got a little batty at the end but Utah Murcielagos's early lead was just enough.

Carlos Zamarripa scored an absolute golazo and later converted a penalty for Salt Lake City-based Utah Murcielagos defeated Southwest FC, 3-2, in a UPSL 2019 Spring Season National Semifinal at Kangaroo Stadium.

Rafeal Marguia Gonzalez gave Salt Lake City-based Utah Murcielagos a 2-0 lead going into halftime, and Zamarripa ripped a penalty for a 3-0 lead in the 76th minute, but Southwest FC mounted a furious comeback that made the last five minutes some serious edge-of-your-seat action.

Southwest FC earned a penalty that Mario Ramirez converted in the 84th minute to put the El Paso, Texas-based club on the scoreboard, and with Murcielagos on its heels, teammate Emanuel Chavez pulled a rabbit out of his hat with a goal in the 89th.

Utah Murcielagos goalkeeper Valentin Castro Arredondo was forced to come off his line and defend his goal as Southwest FC's attack tightened the screws, making nine saves in the win.
